Parking pricing in urban areas improves management of parking demand, discouraging the indiscriminate use of private cars, also increasing the efficiency of the on-street parking system. However, a parking fee too high can likely reduce the attractiveness of areas, also pushing users towards illegal or not proper parking practices. This paper intends to explore and quantify the impacts on parkers stemmed from on-street parking price increases, also identifying the main parameters affecting their habits. The outcomes achieved by a survey involving car drivers moving in some high-attractive potential zones of the city of Rome will be presented and critically discussed
